Can I utilize the common area on Kingfisher for a birthday party or other event?
Yes, the common areas are for all homeowners to use. If you do utlize any of the common areas, please clean up after yourselves. Note that the Kingfisher common area currently does not have electric or water connections. So plan accordingly. The HOA board is exploring putting a electrical meter/outlet there for homeowner use.
How do I keep my roof clean and/or get rid of the mildew?
Every few years when you see mildew and mold growing on your roof, you can fill a fertilizer sprayer with bleach and water solution. Spray this on your roof and rinse it off with fresh water or call a professional. There are commercial products that claim to be basically "spray and rinse".
What if my HOBO (wheeled garbage container) needs repair?
Call the Public Works Department at 690-3961 and they will pick it up, make the repairs, and return it to you. Unless the HOBO has been abused, there is no charge for this service.
Can I store my boat in my yard?
Yes, but your boat & boat trailer must be kept in either your garage or in your fenced backyard. Boats may not be visible from any vantage point outside the fencing. This would also include Jet Ski’s, motorized boats and non-motorized boats; including canoes, kayaks, etc.
Can I use a boat on the lakes?
Yes, but unless you live on the lake in Phase 1 you can only utilize the community accessible lakes in Phases 3 and 4. Community access to these lakes are available from Kingfisher and the western loop of Pelican Lane. The lake in Phase 1 (Pelican Lane, East of Kingfisher) is private property of the homeowners surrounding the lake. Any boat used on any lake must not be motorized.
If I am concerned about city code violations, what should I do?
Contact the Code Enforcement Officer at Rockledge City Hall and share your concern. It will be evaluated to determine whether or not it is a violation and what action can be taken. Also, your complaint can be taken anonymously and your name will never be given out.
Can I park my car across the sidewalk if it is in my driveway?
No. Vehicles are not supposed to be parked in such a way as to block pedestrians using the sidewalk for its intended purposes - this is a violation of City code and can subject the owner of the vehicle to a citation.
Can I draw water from the retention ponds to irrigate my lawn?
Retention ponds cannot be utilized for irrigation, both per Pelican Harbour covanants and St. John Water Management District. For more information contact the St. John Water Management District.
